Capes And Ponchos

Jacket Cholis

Give a little stir to the conventional lehengas and don a jacket over your attire in place of a dupatta. Just like these models donning the beautiful Manish Malhotra ensemble.

Long Trail Lehenga

Call it a western influence or merely innovation but long trail lehengas are becoming very popular among brides due to their regal appeal. You’d surely feel like a royal princess with a bit of western twist on your wedding day with one of these looks.

Off The Shoulder Choli

Now this one is a fairly new trend and perhaps a modern take on traditional lehenga choli. Lehenga choli has evolved into a rather ethnic version of skirt and blouse. Now the blouse features an off shoulder cut, just like those we see in bridal gowns worn in the west. Depending on the kind of work that embellishes the lehenga choli this type of cut looks rather suitable if worn to an after wedding party or even to a sangeet because they are playful and easy to carry.

Pastel Lehengas & Floral Galore

Florals are in this year as inspired by designers shyamal & bhumika whether it’s a plain floral print or heavily sequined this is one look you that would make you look stunning just like bollywood beauty Anushaka Sharma did on her wedding day with a gorgeous floral lehenga choli.

We love these beauts by Elan designer bridal.

Royal Velvet

Velvet lehengas are still big on trend and being loved by fashion designers and brides for the way they drape due to heavy velvet and embroidery work as inspired by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. How to Buy A Salwar Kameez Online

How to Buy A Salwar Kameez Online

These days online shopping is the most convenient and smart method chosen by the majority of people. But many of online buyers are not aware of buying clothing like chudidar materials, Salwar kameez sets etc.

So, here we are presenting some online shopping tips in a step-by-step procedure to buy a perfect Salwar kameez set online:

Select According to The Type of Occasion :

The first thing you need to keep in your mind is that choose the Salwar outfit in accordance with the type of occasion. If you want to buy Salwar for day party then choose cotton fabric light embellished dresses. It helps you feel comfortable and stress-free, you can wear it for a prolonged time. If it is for night party on the wedding then opt for heavily embellished chudidar Salwar sets in attractive colors, which makes you look more stunning in the wedding.

Embellished Chudidar Salwar Sets

Choose Your Favorite Fabric :

Shopping an attire online is somewhat tricky thing because you just see the picture of the dress but you can’t feel or try the quality of the fabric. So it is the most essential thing that you need to go through the complete description of the dress thoroughly and be aware of as much information about the particular product. If you are going to buy Anarkali suits then opt to choose rich fabrics like georgette, sheer net or chiffon fabrics, or if you want to buy beautiful A-line Salwar kameez suit then opt for chanderi, brocade, silk, crepe, velvet or tussar fabrics that add a touch of elegance to your attire.

Anarkali Suits

Select the Salwar Kameez That Suits Your Body Type :

While buying a Salwar kameez online, first you need to select the type of kameez that perfectly suits your body shape because you cannot try out the outfit in online shopping. So go through the size chart and order the suit as per your measurements. If you have a stout body type you should opt for the A-line or straight cut Salwar kameez that gives you a leaner and taller appearance. If you have a leaner body shape then opt for the flared and fluffy Salwar chudidar, which adds some volume to your frame.

Flared and Fluffy Salwar Chudidar

Embellishments on Salwar Suits :

Coming to the embellishments and adornments of the outfits, try to choose fewer embellishments because anything too much gives you an ornate look. Thus, it is very important to check out the adornments and embellishments of the Salwar kameez are simple. The adornments of a salwar includes the zari works, kundan, resham, zardozi, stone and sequins works, which enhances the look of the outfits with an ethnic feel.

Check the Return Policy :

The most essential thing you need to check before buying an outfit online is to learn about the return and privacy policy of the shopping site because you can’t try out the outfit through online shopping so you should check whether it has a return policy or not. Most of the shopping site gives the return policy for clothing for a particular period of time. Anyway, it is very necessary to study the terms and conditions of the site before you buy your favorite outfit.

So, these are the most essential factors to keep in your mind before buying a designer range of Salwar Kameez online.

How to drape a dupatta on Lehenga

When it comes to dressing up Indian traditional wear always win the race. No other outfit can beat the elegance of Indian traditional wear. Lehenga is one of those traditional wears of India. The most easiest and wise way to change the lehenga game is to play with the dupatta. Wear the same lehenga with different dupatta draping style and every time you will be the centre of attraction.  Today we are going to give you some simple lehenga dupatta draping style.

The Classic Dupatta Drape

This is one of the easiest ways to drape a dupatta. Tuck one end of dupatta at the right side of your waist then take the dupatta under your left arm and throw it on your right shoulder.  Make nice pleats and securely place it with a safety pin.

A TWIST TO THE CLASSIC DRAPE

Similar to the classic drape, tuck the dupatta at the right side of your waist and then take the remaining piece of cloth under your right arm and throw it over your right shoulder.  In this case do not pleat your dupatta. If your dupatta has heavy embroidery or you want to draw attention towards the dupatta then leave it open. .

KEEP IT SIMPLE

If you cannot manage the above draping style does not worry there are plenty of ways you can drape your dupatta. Simply take a dupatta and place it over left shoulder and take another end to wrap around your right wrist. It is as simple as that.

Front V Style

This is one of the oldest ways to drape a dupatta.  Tuck one end of dupatta at the back side of your waist in a U shape then place the remaining dupatta on any side of your shoulder and make a nice pleat.

Now take the end of the pleat and secure it over another shoulder with a safety pin creating a V shape in front.

Lazy Drape

If you are still thinking that lehenga is not your cup of tea, then let us introduce another simplest way to drape a dupatta. There is no need of safety pin not even pleats.  Place your dupatta on both of your shoulder and leave it open.

Lazy Drape with a Twist

Exactly same as the Lazt Drape. Place your dupatta on both of your shoulder in a V shape style. Leave the remaining open. Securely pin the dupatta on both of your shoulder.

Gujrati Style Drape

Have you ever notices how Gujrati women wear a saree like a pro? Let’s drape the dupatta in a Gujrati way!

Take one of the ends and tuck it left side of your waist, do not make a turn, place the other end of the dupatta on right shoulder facing front. Now make few pleats and cover your blouse with the dupatta diagonally.  Secure it with a safety pin. Remember the length of the dupatta in front part should end right above your waist.  We are done. This is one of the oldest and traditional ways to drape a dupatta. This style looks amazing as it has rich culture associated with it.

How to wear a Saree

Wearing a saree can be difficult if you have not worn one before. A saree is made of 5-7-yards long cloth which can be worn in many styles. We are going to explain the common and easiest way to wear a saree.

Things we will Require

  • A saree of your choice
  • A blouse or top to wear with the saree
  • A petticoat or skirt
  • Few safety pins

Step 1.  Get Started

Start by wearing the petticoat and blouse. The right way of choosing a petticoat is to match the color of the petticoat with your saree.

Now take the end with no border and tuck it in the left side of the petticoat just below the belly button. Make a complete turn from left to right to reach the starting point from where you have started.  Lower part of the saree should be slightly above the floor.

Move to Step 2

Step 2. Wrap it Around

Take the extra fabric and hold firmly with your thumb, index finger, we are going to make pleats.

Stretch the fabric as much as you can by moving your thumb and index finger to make the pleats. Nearly 5 to 6 pleats are good to go.  Tuck the pleats into your petticoat and secure it with a safety pin. We have completed the trickiest part. Take a deep breath and relax.

  Move to Step 3

Step 3.

Take the extra saree and once again turn it from left to right. We are going to make the pallu with the end of the saree.

Take the remaining part and make pleats evenly. Bring the pallu under your right arm to the left shoulder. Adjust the pallu and secure it with the safety pin. You can keep your pallu open if you can manage.

Our Tips

As mentioned earlier that we are going to need a blouse or top to be worn with a saree. Now the easiest way to transform your look from girl next door to a glam diva is to experiment with the blouse. Be courageous and confident to carry a bold and glamorous look. Our tip is, do not make the blouse with the original blouse piece that comes with the saree.  Try a contrast color for your blouse, nowadays many shopping sites are selling readymade blouses, you can try them.   What about wearing a crop top or a shirt with a saree! What if we tell you to wear a blazer or a cold shoulder top instead of a plain simple boring blouse?.
We have seen the transformation how a blouse design can make you look like a goddess. See how a blouse design can change the complete look! Grab a design and rock the party. We are sure you will be the head turner girl. Our next tip is about making the pallu and pleat. We have shown you the easiest method of wearing a saree. There are a lot ways you can wear a saree. You can experiment with your pallu and pleat in a different way and it is obvious that will give you a posh makeover.  So many international icons, fashion designers are using saree to woo the audience. We are sure you can impress your friends and family too. Another thing to remember do not overdress, wear a pair of statement earrings or a statement neck piece at a time. Pair your saree with a nice pair of shoes and a clutch that’s all, a simple and elegant look will be the key attraction. .
